For years now, a small but swelling underground has been lacing their XTEND with energy-sustaining carbohydrates to give them that extra edge. So working from the base of XTEND – the best-selling combination of highly mixable BCAAs, Citrulline Malate, Glutamine, and Electrolytes – we added a complex array of endurance-sustaining carbohydrates to fulfill this need and to help athletes grind through even the most grueling of workouts.

Accelerated Amino Transport. Aminos are the basic building blocks of muscle. Aminos can also trigger anabolism, the cornerstone of muscle growth. As a lifter, you need them, especially the right ones. While there are nearly two dozen different amino acids, only a select few are absolutely essential for igniting the anabolic drive, as new research has shown. Not surprisingly, these required aminos are the same ones found in human muscle protein.
Animal Nitro is the first and only supplement that contains the correct ratios of those aminos based on human muscle protein itself. For supplementation purposes there are only 2 types of fats that are needed; Omega 3's (n-3) and Omega 6's (n-6). Omega 9 is necessary, yet not essential because it can be made by the body in modest amounts. The reason why the body can't make an n-3 or n-6 fatty acid is that human metabolism can't add a double bond to a fatty acid that is more than 9 carbons away from the delta end (acid end). This is also the reason why the body can't convert an n-3 fatty acid to an n-6 fatty acid. Yeah, it sounds like science mumbo jumbo, but is important to see from a chemistry perspective why it's so hard to obtain the right EFAs from the diet.
